This Year’s NBA All-Star Game Info.

On January 23rd, 2020, the National Basketball Association (NBA) announced the All-Star weekend starters. The team captain from the western conference will be Lebron James (6,275,459 Fan Votes) and from the eastern conference, Giannis Antetoumpo (5,902,286 Fan Votes) the same captains as last year. Last year, team Lebron beat team Giannis, with a final score of 178-164. This year seems to be a revenge year for Antetoumpo, and he’d better choose his team wisely, or the same result will occur.

The starters from the Eastern Conference will consist of these players:

  • Giannis Antetoumpo ( Milwaukee Bucks, Captain )
  • Kemba Walker ( Boston Celtics )
  • Joel Embiid ( Philadelphia Seventy Sixers )
  • Trae Young ( Atlanta Hawks )
  • Pascal Siakam ( Toronto Raptors )

The starters from the Western Conference will consist of these players:

  • Lebron James ( Los Angeles Lakers, Captain )
  • Anthony Davis ( Los Angeles Lakers )
  • Luka Doncic ( Dallas Mavericks )
  • James Harden ( Houston Rockets )
  • Kawhi Leonard ( Los Angeles Clippers )

On January 30th, the NBA announced the eastern and western conference reserve players.
The Eastern Conference reserves are:

  • Jayson Tatum ( Boston Celtics )
  • Jimmy Butler ( Miami Heat )
  • Ben Simmons ( Philadelphia Seventy Sixers )
  • Kyle Lowry ( Toronto Raptors )
  • Khris Middleton ( Milwaukee Bucks )
  • Domantas Sabonis ( Indiana Pacers )
  • Bam Adebayo ( Miami Heat )

The Western Conference reserves are:

  • Nikola Jokic ( Denver Nuggets )
  • Damian Lillard ( Portland Trail Blazers )
  • Donovan Mitchell ( Utah Jazz )
  • Rudy Gobert ( Utah Jazz )
  • Chris Paul ( Oklahoma City Thunder )
  • Brandon Ingram ( New Orleans Pelicans )
  • Russell Westbrook ( Houston Rockets )

On February 6th, Lebron and Giannis chose their teams for the much-anticipated game this weekend. On Sunday, February 16th, the All-Star game will kick off in Chicago, Illinois.

Team Lebron looks like this:

  • Lebron James
  • Anthony Davis
  • Kawhi Leonard
  • Luka Doncic
  • James Harden

  • Damian Lillard
  • Ben Simmons
  • Nikola Jokic
  • Jayson Tatum
  • Chris Paul
  • Russell Westbrook
  • Domantas Sabonis

Team Antetokounmpo looks like this:

  • Giannis Antetokounmpo
  • Joel Embiid
  • Pascal Siakam
  • Kemba Walker
  • Trae Young

  • Khris Middleton
  • Bam Adebayo
  • Rudy Gobert
  • Kyle Lowry
  • Brandon Ingram
  • Donovan Mitchell

After looking at these two teams, I am putting my bets on Team Lebron. I don’t think there is any way his team will lose, and Lebron will especially put on a show for Kobe.

The last point I’d like to make about the NBA All-Star game is the new changes they made in the game due to the death of Kobe Bryant. The changes have added a charity component to the game and a new ending that involves Kobe’s number, 24. If you would like to read more details about these changes, click on the link below:
