Mr. Finnegan has been a very popular faculty member in the Rectory community during the three years he has been working here as an English teacher, sports coach, and dorm parent. History teacher, Mr. Burgess, a good friend and colleague of Mr. Finnegan’s, described him as “someone who is dedicated and willing to do anything to support the school and his students.”

Mr. McCarthy because he would make it really funny.

Who would you twin with on Twin Day?

I would twin with Mr. Laperle because we look alike.

Do you play any musical instruments, and if so, which ones?

I play piano and a little guitar. I’ve been playing the piano since I was in first grade. On top of playing the piano and guitar, I also took voice lessons growing up.

If you were a student, would you enjoy your own class? Why?

Of course! It is awesome! This wonderful education would provide me extraordinary insights.

Where would you like to travel next and why?

I would love to travel to Italy because of the food and the beautiful history there!

Where did you grow up?

Chelsea, MA

How many siblings do you have?

I have two older sisters, Jen (the oldest) and Colleen (the middle). I am the youngest of the family.

Which high school and college did you attend?

Malden Catholic High School in Malden, MA, and then Nichols College in Dudley, MA (which Mr. Paul Healy and Ms. Euglow attended, as well). Ms. Bradley and I were in the same class for our sophomore year at Nichols.

How did you find Rectory and why did you decide to work here?

When I was in college, Mr. Paul Healy (Mr. Healy’s son) introduced me to Rectory.

How do you like it here?

I love it! This is an awesome community.
